For gold bars, Gold Factory only offers bars produced by refiners on the LBMA Good Delivery List. The LBMA Good Delivery system sets globally recognised standards for refiners and the large bars used in the London bullion market. It is more accurate to say that the refiner is Good Delivery listed than to suggest that the LBMA individually certifies every small retail bar.

Understanding LBMA Good Delivery
The London Bullion Market Association maintains Good Delivery Lists for gold and silver refiners. Refiners are assessed against strict requirements covering matters such as refining capability, assay, quality and market standards.
Retail bars made by a Good Delivery-listed refiner are not themselves the approximately 400 troy ounce London Good Delivery bars used for wholesale settlement. The important point for a retail customer is the established provenance of the refiner and the recognition of its refining standards.

Does LBMA approve every small retail bar individually?
LBMA’s Good Delivery accreditation applies to refiners and the Good Delivery system rather than acting as a retail certificate for every individual small bar. Gold Factory’s statement means its bars are sourced from LBMA-approved refiners.
What does LBMA mean?
LBMA stands for the London Bullion Market Association. Its Good Delivery system sets internationally recognised standards for refiners and wholesale gold and silver bars. Gold Factory sells bars from LBMA-approved refiners.
