Bullion FAQs
Answers to common questions about buying, reserving and selling bullion.
Are all your bars LBMA approved?
Gold Factory’s policy is to sell bars from LBMA-approved refiners.
Can I Click & Reserve bullion?
Yes, where offered. The customer pays 10%, bullion is held for a maximum of one day, and the pricing rules in the Click & Reserve section apply.
Can I collect an order that I paid for 100% online by card?
No. Fully paid online card purchases must be delivered.
Can I return bullion because I changed my mind?
Bullion and other products whose price depends on financial-market fluctuations can have different cancellation rights from ordinary jewellery. The specific bullion transaction terms apply.
Can you guarantee gold will increase in value?
No. Gold prices can rise or fall. Gold Factory does not provide investment guarantees.
Can you tell me whether gold is going up tomorrow?
No. Gold Factory cannot predict or guarantee future gold prices.
Can you tell me which gold bar is the best investment?
Gold Factory can explain factual differences between bullion products, including size, premium and practical considerations, but it does not provide a guarantee of future investment performance or predict future gold prices.
Does LBMA approve every small retail bar individually?
LBMA’s Good Delivery accreditation applies to refiners and the Good Delivery system rather than acting as a retail certificate for every individual small bar. Gold Factory’s statement means its bars are sourced from LBMA-approved refiners.
Do you buy gold bars back?
Yes, subject to testing, verification and ID requirements.
Do you sell gold bars?
Yes. Gold Factory sells investment gold bars subject to stock and availability.
Do you sell gold coins and sovereigns?
Yes, Gold Factory sells a range of gold coins and bullion products subject to stock.
Do you test bullion when buying it back?
Yes. Bullion is physically assessed and verified before Gold Factory completes a buyback. The checks used depend on the item and its construction.
If gold falls after I reserve bullion, do I get the lower price?
No. Under the current Click & Reserve bullion policy, Gold Factory retains the reserved price because the bullion was removed from sale during the reservation period.
If gold rises after I reserve bullion, what happens?
The final Gold Factory bullion price may increase. The customer can either proceed at the revised price or cancel and receive the 10% reservation back in full.
What does LBMA mean?
LBMA stands for the London Bullion Market Association. Its Good Delivery system sets internationally recognised standards for refiners and wholesale gold and silver bars. Gold Factory sells bars from LBMA-approved refiners.
What is your bullion buyback rate?
Gold Factory’s recorded bullion buyback basis is the live gold price less 3%, subject to verification of the bullion and the applicable transaction terms in force at the time.
